Black line down paper when you photocopy
If you see a black line down a page when you photocopy, First establish if the black line appears when you photocopy from the Automatic Document feeder (ADF) or just when you place a single sheet on the Glass under the ADF
If you get a line when you photocopy from the ADF then then there will be dirt or marks on the glass highlighted on the image below in red.
If you get a line from a single sheet on the glass then there will be marks on the big pane of glass highlighted on the image below in green.
You just need to clean the glass with a damp cloth and the dry it with dry cloth or paper towel.
