Self Service Password Reset Using Web Portal
If you have registered for MFA and set up the account recovery verification process, then you can reset your password anytime, anywhere by visiting the website aka.ms/sspr or https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/
When you are presented with the Self Service Password Reset menu, enter your work email and enter the characters from the image displayed and click next
You will then need to verify yourself using 2 methods. (In this example, we have chosen Text and Authenticator App.)
A verification code has been requested and sent to the registered mobile number.
The second verification chosen is 'Approve a notification on my authenticator app'.
Click on 'Send Notification'
You should get a notification on your phone to approve. See below;
Once the notification on your Authenticator App has been approved, you will be prompted to choose a new password ** The link to our Password Policy Solution can be found here: What is the Trusts Password Policy?
Once you have chosen a new password you will be presented with the below screen;
