Moving from Internet Explorer to Edge
Internet Explorer is going out of support on the 15th June 2022 and will be actively removed from Windows 10 machines by Microsoft.
Why is this the first we've heard about it?
Whilst this may come as a surprise to you, System Owners, suppliers, and developers have known about this for the past couple of years.
How do I tell the difference?

What does out of support mean?
Microsoft will no longer provide updates, technical support, bug fixes, or security fixes for vulnerabilities. This includes security updates that can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.
How does this impact me?
You may have noticed that in preperation for this, we have been moving applications like eCARE, e-Referral, ICE etc to use the Edge Browser rather than Internet Explorer.
This shouldn't impact you, as we have said above suppliers have known about this for a number of years, however if you do encounter issues with applications that are not related to login(s), then you may be directed to contact the System Owner rather than IT.
Planned works
We are working with the supplier to transition EDM to Edge, which will be happening over the coming weeks.
What is a System Owner?
Each system that we have at the Trust has a department / named person that is responsible for the applications, and it might not be the IT Department, we may well only offer certain services, like issues with logging in, server support etc.
Who are the System Owners?
