Outsourcing / External Organisations working at the Trust - What IT needs from you!
What is Outsourcing?
Outsourcing is an agreement in which one company hires another company to be responsible for a planned or existing activity that is or could be done internally and sometimes involves transferring employees and assets from one firm to another.
What's considered outsourcing?
External Organisations (including other NHS Trusts), Agencies or specialised outsourcing companies running a service, clinics, doing assessments/audits or assisting with a backlog of work for MKUH.
What IT needs from you
More than anything we require notice of a service being outsourced, ideally as soon as discussions are being held and well before a start date for the outsourcing has been decided.
To ensure we have all the required information from the get-go, please complete the Outsourcing / Insourcing / External Organisations working at the Trust form so we can assess the requirements.
Please be aware that the setting up of accounts for access to MKUH comes at a cost to the Trust and as such all accounts will need to be licensed to access MKUH resources and ensure they are compliant.
The cost per user is roughly £52.81 for 1 month term with monthly billing or £528.19 for 1 year team, with annual billing.
Licensing will be tailored based on the access required and requested in the Outsourcing / Insourcing / External Organisations working at the Trust, so may not include MS Office access or an MKUH email address.
Please also ensure that you speak with HR.
