Tap Smart: Prevent Card Confusion

Recent updates to ID cards issued by Security mean it may be possible to register these on:

Tap-and-Go printers
Smartcard “soap dish” readers
Locker access points

To avoid future issues, please ensure that you only use your NHS Smartcard for these services.

We recommend removing your Smartcard from a double-sided card holder, before tapping your card.

👉 Don’t forget to take your Smartcard with you after use.
