Planned Change Coming Soon - New technology for Desktop Icons

We’re updating how icons appear on your desktop of your Trust device.
Currently, these icons (along with things like your desktop background and other settings) are delivered through something called Group Policy—a tool we’ve used to apply consistent settings across all devices.
We're moving this process to Microsoft Intune, a modern, cloud-based management tool.
Why are we making this change?
This move is part of our cloud-first strategy. Intune offers greater flexibility and allows us to take advantage of newer features in the future.
What does this mean for you?
While this should be a smooth transition, you may notice a few temporary issues as the change rolls out:
➡️Some icons may appear blank or white at first—but they’ll still work when clicked.
➡️If you’re logging into a device for the first time, your desktop may appear empty temporarily while it catches up.
➡️You might see duplicate icons during the transition.
What should you do?
Please allow your device some time to pick up the new settings. Most issues will resolve on their own.
If problems persist after a short while, feel free to contact the Service Desk for support.
