How to reboot / restart a WoW / Drug Cart
A small action, that can make a lot of difference.
Reasons to Reboot a Wow / Drug Cart
✅Slow performance or unresponsiveness
If the kiosk is lagging or frozen, a reboot clears temporary memory and refreshes system processes.
✅Imprivata Login screen not responding
If badge taps or logins aren’t working properly, rebooting can restart the Imprivata services.
✅Application crashes (e.g. eCARE not launching)
A reboot resets the session and can fix applications that fails to open or crashes on launch.
✅Session doesn't end or hangs
If the previous user’s session didn’t fully log off, a reboot clears the active state.
✅Network issues
Rebooting can help re-establish a lost or unstable network connection.
✅Updates applied
After system or software updates, a reboot ensures changes are properly applied.
✅Peripheral problems (e.g. keyboard, scanner not working)
Sometimes USB-connected devices need a reboot to reinitialise properly.
Rebooting / restarting a WoW you are logged into:
Click on the Windows Button to launch the menu
Click on the Power Button symbol to luanch the menu
Click on Restart
Rebooting / restarting a WoW from the Imprivata home page
Click on Menu (bottom left)
Select Restart
📢Note: This will kick off all existing logged in sessions.
