Planned Change - eCARE Upgrade & Maintenance 5th - 6th August
On the night of Tuesday 5th August into the morning of Wednesday 6th August, eCARE will undergo a planned upgrade.
What to Expect
eCARE will remain available and fully functional for most users during this time.
However, one specific module — Bridge Milk Management — will be temporarily unavailable.
Temporary Downtime: Bridge Milk Management
➡️Unavailable from 10:00pm on 5th August to 12:30am on 6th August
➡️This affects both the desktop and mobile versions of Bridge.
During this window, please document any milk administration manually in PowerChart, as was done prior to Bridge:
Go to “Assessments/Fluid Balance”
- Select either NNU Quick View or Paediatric Quick View
- Then choose Feeding and enter the relevant details
- Once the upgrade is complete, eCARE will look and function exactly as before.
️ Additional Notes
- FGM Alerts in eCARE may not work as expected. We are working closely with NHS Digital to resolve this.
- DNA Discharge Letter Generation may be affected. If a letter is not generated, please contact the Back Office/eCARE team.

When prescribing medication and selecting ‘Yes’ for ‘Give Additional Dose Now’, eCARE will now prompt you to adjust or skip the next scheduled dose if it’s too close to the stat dose.
