Smartcard Photos
Requirements
The photograph assigned to the user’s profile, which is printed on the smartcard, must meet passport standards and:
- be taken against a plain background
- have adequate lighting

be cropped to match the diagram below

Photographs that are captured by or imported to Care Identity Service must:
- have minimum size of 420 x 525 pixels
- have a maximum size of 630 x 788 pixels
- Images that exceed this limit should be resized.
Smartcard Re-Prints
Smartcards can be re-printed for reasons including:
- Name Change
- A significant change in cardholders appearance
- Lost / Stolen Card
- Marriage

Damaged card
Smartcards will not be re-printed for reasons including:
- New photo (or any cosmetic changes)
- For a secondary card
