Self Service Password Reset (SSPR)
The eagle-eyed amongst us may have noticed a new "Password reset" option available on the login screen of PCs ***. This change not only enables staff to reset their own passwords from Trust devices, but you can also achieve this via the web portal from any device, negating the need to call IT, which in turn reduces the time lost due to forgotten passwords and lockouts.
We all have the capability to do this using Multi-Factor Authentication, which provides an intuitive one-time user registration process allowing us to reset passwords and unlock accounts on-demand from any device or location.
The main benefits are listed below;
24/7 availability
You can change your password and unlock your account whenever you need to; whether you lock yourself out during work hours, or after, you can reset your password without calling the IT Service Desk. You can also reset your password from wherever you happen to be.
Maximum security
You can unlock your account and reset your password all by yourself. Your password will always be private and never shared with the IT staff.
Multiple device support
Self-service password reset lets you change your password or unlock your account from any device. It works on:
• Trust computer using the login screen - Instructions can be found here
• Any computer or tablet using the web portal - Instructions can be found here
• Your tablet or smartphone using the mobile app
