Planned Change - Wireless Network – Bug Fix Upgrade June 2025

We will be upgrading our wireless network software as part of ongoing improvements to stability and performance. This upgrade has been recommended by Cisco to address known issues with some devices dropping off the network when moving between areas.
Why are we making this change?
📶 Improved Roaming: Helps older and mobile devices stay connected as users move through the hospital.
🐞 Bug Fixes: Resolves several known issues in the current wireless system software.
🔐 Better Stability: Enhances reliability and performance across all Wi-Fi access points.
When will this happen?
The upgrade will take place between 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM on 25th June 2025.
What should you do?
You don't need to do anything! IT will be onsite during this change period. There may be a small interruption to Wi-Fi service during this time frame.
If you experience connection issues, after the upgrade has completed, please reboot the device and check that you are connected to Wi-Fi. If you continue to experience issues, after 10pm, please follow the IT On-Call process if out of hours, or call the IT Service Desk in hours.
